Sophie and James met over fifteen years ago while working in London's fashion industry. Sophie, with her background in luxury retail management and keen eye for emerging trends, and James, with his expertise in product design and brand development, quickly discovered they shared not just a passion for fashion, but a frustration with how impersonal the industry had become.
"We noticed that as fashion moved increasingly online, something essential was being lost," explains Sophie. "That personal connection, the expert advice, the feeling of being truly cared for as a customer – it was disappearing. We wanted to bring it back."
In 2016, they took the leap and founded Sophie & James London with a simple mission: to combine the convenience of online shopping with the warmth and expertise of a traditional boutique.
